Club Velvet (down the street from the Adcenter, the one with Princess Di on the side) must have increased it’s marketing budget in the past few months. They have placed two very classy spotlights on their roof, visible from downtown, I-95, and I-64. Two Hummer H3s adorned with Club Velvet graphics frequently roam the streets of Richmond and the VCU campus, making their presence known with their animal-sounds horn. The guy dressed as a gorilla on the corner holding a cutout of a stripper has now been replaced with a Santa Claus, still holding the stripper cutout. Just the other day some fellow students and I were offered coupons for a $4 steak, potato, and lapdance lunch at Velvet. Enticing offer indeed, but it was also 50-cent boneless wing day at Buffalo Wild Wings. Good job Velvet, can’t wait to see what microsite and non-trad you come up with next.

These lights in downtown Richmond are an outrage. I am under ten years old and I say we should take them down immediately. I am ashamed to live here while those sick people and sick lights are around. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SOON!!!
