I’m having a hard time deciding if I want the shirt that says “Irked neighbor saws off left half of tree” or “Tree halved to satisfy irked neighbor.”

Hello. Perhaps you are reading this because you have one of my business cards. Or you searched for me on Google. Or, least likely, you regularly read my blog. In any event, here is a link to download my brand planning portfolio.
What is contained in this book is a small sample of some of my favorite work I did during my two years at the VCU Brandcenter. If you have questions, comments, or any feedback, please shoot me an email, and I will gladly chat with you.
I am currently “on the market” so if you feel I would be a great fit for your agency, I would love to hear from you! Additional work samples and information can be sent upon request.
Thanks,
Dave

A morbid ad, with increased morbidness given its placement.

*Golden Eraser, Honorable Mention, Fall 2006
In our Business of Advertising class during the first semester at VCU Adcenter, our roles were reversed for one assignment. Communications Strategists (like myself) and Creative Brand Managers were asked to become Art Directors and Copywriters for a Red Bull campaign. The Art Directors and Copywriters wrote the creative briefs given to us. The brief I received said “Red Bull Declares War on France,” a response to France’s decision to ban Red Bull. Here is the result. Keep this in mind: first year, first semester of ad school, planner working as an art director/copywriter.
(DISCLAIMER: I have visited France, and it is a very lovely country. These ads were made only in jest. Please direct any complaints to the following address: 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington, DC. Don’t tell them I sent you. Thank you.)
